Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) will officially launch the popular iPhone 5s in Israel in the second week of November, a source familiar with the launch details told “Globes”. Apple will launch the iPhone 5c at the same time.

It is already possible to buy an iPhone 5s in Israel, through unofficial importers. But these importers are exploiting consumers’ lack of knowledge to charge very high prices. An iPhone 5s with a 16-gigabyte memory is selling for NIS 4,700-5,500. Consumers willing to wait a few weeks will apparently able to buy this iPhone for NIS 3,500-4,000 from the large mobile carriers. Immediately afterwards, the unofficial importers of Apple products will cut prices.

Apple is also expected to add another official importer, in addition to the mobile carriers. The new importer will focus on electronic and mobile networks.
