meaningless, as Chesnoff’s role in the company was so

dominant.

Shlomo Rodav is resigning as Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) Chairman, and Saban Capital Group Inc. President and COO Adam Chesnoff has been appointed to replace him. The reason for Rodav’s departure was that he felt his role had become meaningless, as Chesnoff’s role in the company was so dominant.

According to sources close to the parties involved, Rodav did not approve of the network sharing deal with HOT Mobile Ltd.. Though the Board approved the move unanimously, Rodav’s decision to leave speaks for itself.

According to sources who spoke to Rodav, he was not excited about the deal with Hot Mobile because he thought that the terms of the agreement favored Hot Mobile and that the benefits that Partner stood to gain from the agreement were limited. Rodav could not accept the fact that the deal was forced upon him, and that he had no ability to influence it, and he therefore preferred to step down.
