Yes, Hot unveil cut-price basic packages

Hot’s basic package will include 16 channels, while Yes is offering 15 channels.

Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) unit Yes (DBS Satellite Services 1998 Ltd.) is launching a basic package including 15 channels for NIS 129 per month, and the price will likely rise to NIS 149 after 12 months. Hot Telecommunication Systems Ltd. (TASE: HOT) is launching a similar basic package including 16 channels for NIS 129 per month. These special prices are on offer for one month and subscribers who sign up this month will receive a fixed price of NIS 129 for 18 months.Subscribers who sign up for the basic package with Yes and then want to add channels will be able to do so. Hot customers however will not be allowed to add channels to the basic package.

Yes also decided to leave the RGE sports channel out of the basic package and replace it with Yediot Ahronot unit One. Hot, unlike Yes, offers its basic movie channel within the basic package.

Other channels in Yes’s basic package include the Children’s channel, while Hot will replace that channel with the Saban Group’s new Zoom channel. Other Yes channels will include yes Doco, radio stations channel, Yes base serials (the equivalent of Hot 3), non-TV channels 9 and 24, and basic Israeli TV channels 1, 2, 10, 33, 99 (Knesset) and 23 (Education TV). The package will also include Community TV channel 98.

Hot’s basic package costing NIS 129 this month instead of the regular price of NIS 149 includes 16 channels: 1, 2, 10, 23, 99, 24, 9, 33, Hot Music (Radio channels FM + 4 music channels free), Hala TV, Shopping Channel, Community Channel, Zoom, One, Hot Films, and Hot Family serials.
