Hot to offer 100 Mbps Internet access for free

Hot’s announcement follows a similar offer by Bezeq.

Hot Telecommunication Systems Ltd. (TASE: HOT.B1) today announced that as part of its deployment of a fiber optic cable, it will upgrade Internet access of customers to 12 Mbps, 30 Mbps, or 100 Mbps, depending on their triple (telephony, mobile, and Internet) plans for free. More than 70% of Hot’s customers will receive the 100-Mbps upgrade.Hot’s announcement following a similar offer by Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ).

Hot will offer 100-Mbps Internet access to all customers for one year for free. A customer interested in a triple plan will receive100-Mbps Internet access for NIS 149 per month.

Hot will also invest NIS 500 million to deploy its fiber optic network in Rishon LeZion, Beersheva, Netanya, Haifa, and Shoham. At today’s press conference, Hot CEO Herzel Ozer said that the project would be completed within four years, and that it was part of the company’s strategy for the telecommunications market.
